SATOUMI CD and DVD to be Released

Hey guys! I just got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled this morning and I’m in a lot of pain. So updates may be slow and all, but I promise I’ll try to keep you updated with the latest news as much as I can.

So have you all been wondering what ever happened to the SATOUMI units? The SATOYAMA movements got their own releases and were just coupled, but the SATOUMI groups will be releasing one CD that will have their songs on it.

The track list and covers will be as follows:

Now, some info on the songs!

“Lady Mermaid” which is said to be have a rockabilly sound, which I think will match both girls’ voices perfectly! I love Risako’s 60’s Rockabilly hairstyle in the CD-only cover!

“Eiyasa! Brother” will be a Japanese style dance tune. I guess this was given due to their outfits. I have to say I’m surprised still to see Maimi, Miyabi and Chinami in a group for the SATOUMI project. Maybe not Chii, or even Ayumi and Erina as they were also apart of the SATOYAMA project, because these girls need their push within H!P – especially Chii and Erina. But I think Miyabi and Maimi should have been replaced with other girls that are not as pushed so often or not at all, and given these girls a break. But I think all of their vocals will be great together, anyways, and I’m sure Chisa is super happy to be in a unit with Miyabi!

“Kaigan Seisou Danshi” expresses a love towards “him” who works hard at beach cleaning. I’m not sure if this song sounds like another weird one where the lyric are silly and kinda stupid (you know Tsunku has his weird-but-great lyric moments every now and then when you’re like “He wrote a song about this?” or “That’s… in the song? There’s a line like that? Tsunku wft.”) or of it’ll be more interesting lyrics-wise. I’m looking forward to hearing it though!

The SATOUMI movement’s will be having a live event, titled “OTODAMA SEA STUDIO 2013 SATOUMI × OTODAMA 2013 ~Guest ni Bericu! Umi ni Shugo!~” on August 27th. The units will be appearing (and performing, I’m assuming), and Berryz Kobo, C-ute, and Tasaki Asahi will also be appearing as special guests.

Both editions will be on sale before its release to the public at the Hello! Project 2013 SUMMER COOL HELLO!, which is scheduled to start at Orix Theater in Osaka on July 27th.

The release day to the public will be on August 7th. I don’t know if this release will be on iTunes or not, but the SATOYAMA units’ releases were not (although Peaberry’s first single is there). I’ll let you guys know if it’s there once it’s released, but if not, order it if possible! It’s going towards a wonderful cause and you get to support H!P at the same time!
