Information

The group’s twenty-third single was released April 18th 2012. The single was released in limited A-F and regular editions, with limited edition A coming with a bonus DVD. The limited editions and the first press of the regular edition came with a serial number card which, when entered in a lottery, could win a ticket to one of the single’s launch events. The Single V was released April 25th.

Although this isn’t the first time a group in Hello! Project has done indiviual covers for singles or albums (S/milege, Berryz Kobo, Morning Musume, C-ute and Buono! have all done it) it is the first time that each girl had their own version of the song and the music video. Suzuki Airi’s version is the one was released on the group’s YouTube channel and is played on music video T.V channels. It is also the first single of any H!P group to have the title completely translated into English for one of the covers, in this case the Single V.

The single sold 35, 294 copies (roughly, I believe) in its first week along, passing their first week sales of their highest-selling single, Tokkaiko Junjou, which sold 27, 943 in its first week. The single averaged at number 2 on the charts for its first week sales. If C-ute sells another 3,000 sales, it will pass Tokkaiko Junjou and be their most successful single to date. The single has also sold out Morning Musume’s first two week sales of Mikan, and if this single can sell more than 38,667, C-ute will be the first of the Hello! Project Kids groups to outsell a Morning Musume single (not including Buono!, whose Honto no Jibun sold 42,000 copies).

Another DVD, titled Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku MUSIC VIDEO Extra Ver. Clips was also released May 25th. It contained all the videos that were uploaded onto YouTube during the month of April, with the addition of two new videos and excluding the Solo As (included in the Event V), the dance shot (included in the limited A DVD), and the Sunset ver.

The Event V was sold at events on May 12th, 13th and 27th.
