Wada Ayaka’s Profile

Wada Ayaka joined Hello! Project when she passed the Hello! Pro Egg auditions in June 2004 alongside thirty-two other girls. The aim of the Eggs group is to prepare the young girls for their debut into the world of entertainment., as such Wada recieved free dance and vocal training alongside the other Eggs.

Wada ran into trouble with foreign fans and even a few Japanese fans in 2012. When S/mileage had an MC at the Hello Project Mobekimasu Winter concert, they were asked by MC Makgoto if they were to meet an American what they would tell them in English. After a few funny answers from the other S/mileage members, Wada replied, “I don’t like foreigners.” The crowd seemed confused as to what she said, or if they understood, what she met by that or if she didn’t say it properly and was confused herself. She repeated her sentence in Japanese and had a huge “EEEEHHH???” from the crowd. Because of this, Wada has lost many foreign fans, as they now consider her to be racist. However, some fans believe that she didn’t mean it in that way, more that she probably hates talking to them due to her English not being the greatest. Wada apologized afterwards and before their last song to the fans.
